How To Connect an Algorand Wallet using MyAlgo

In this article, you will learn how to download and connect an Algorand wallet to the STOKR platform. Algorand projects are slightly different as we require users to "Opt-In" to STOs that are open to investors on the network. However, you will need the wallet, so let's quickly go through how to get one using MyAlgo.

1. Head to this link to start the process.

 

2. Click on "New Account".

3. Go through the mnemonic phrase process. Please be sure you write down this device as you cannot re-access this account without it.

4. Verify your mnemonic phrase and create a wallet name.

5. Your wallet is now created!

6. Now, it's time to Opt-In to a project. Login to your STOKR account, head to your user dashboard and click "Register Algorand Address".

9. There will only be projects that you are either already listed as a private investor for or it is a project that most people on the platform can Opt-In to by default - it will all depend on the project.

10. Click on the available project to Opt-In and follow the prompts to add your wallet. In this case, click "My Algo Wallet".

11. There will be a pop-up asking you to sign into your MyAlgo account. Make sure your ad-blockers are not active for this page.

12. Enter your password, select the wallet in your account and allow the STOKR account to connect your wallet.

Once this is done, you will be asked to enter a name for it on your profile and you're all set!
